The Dodgers need a solid starting left handed pitcher. All they will have is Hendrickson and Wolf, when he comes back, and that might not be enough when facing the good left hand hitting competition.

I think the Dodgers need to bolster their bullpen because its showing that they might be a little fatigued. Im hearing Octavio Dotel's name alot. I dont think the Dodgers are seriously making a run at Texeira. Reason is that too many quality minor leaguers would be lost for basically a rent a player. So they should concentrate on pitching. After all pitching gets you deep in the playoffs.

the dodgers bullpen featured broxton saito billingsly and brazoban at the start of the season however injuries have benched brazoban forced billingsly into the rotation and hampered saito, broxton remains dominant.
Their power hitting has been lackin even at the start of the season.
So what would make sense for the dodgers would b pull the trigger on that betemit for proctor deal. Also they should go for griffey jr or dunn, two guys who can hit the bomb. Griffey jr is more appealing to me because his age makes him an easier buy then dunn also dunn kills rally wit strikeouts.

maybe they will take a chance on morgan ensberg, who has some power, but hasnt been there for him much this year. since he was designated for assignment yesterday the dodgers would either have to trade for him or wait 10 days unless it is his first time being DAed which would mean a trip to the minors.
