Rae, it's like neversleep says, they have poor self esteem. The ONLY way they can think to help themselves feel better is to cut down others to their level. In fact it IS called levelling behavior. Another way that people level is to "puff themselves up" by telling everyone "SEE how GREAT I am?", making themselves seem a lot better than they really are. Those people are too immature and haven't developed the skills necessary for them to actually DEAL with their OWN internal predjudices and resort to the immature levelling behaviors.
The BEST way to deal with them is to report them. Eventualy they will acquire enough reports to haved their accounts deleted and they'll disappear for a while. Another way is to simply BLOCK them, that way YOU never see anything that they post ever again. I tend to use BLOCK a LOT more than reporting, just because it actually works and keeps their clone ID's blocked as well. ((((Rae))))

Just my opinion, but I usually attribute this sort of behavior to the kids, going for the shock. I would certainly hope that by the time one is an adult, you would act accordingly.
We are all human beings, have (or had) Mothers and Fathers,
relatives, work or go to school...and everyone is doing the best they can with what they have got.

I try to help people as best I can...I see no need to insult people, especially those who I do not know personally. The only way I "insult" people is if they use that chat speak "u r sew gr8." and other stuff like that..I just tell them to go back to school and re-learn how to spell.

Some of them really racist, some of them are not. But they are pretending in this coward yahoo-answer forum. People like controversy, so do I.

its a poor way to make themselves feel better. either poor education or angry parents, friend, or partner or even a bad episode is usually enough to set people off. but i think its because it is easier to hate than to accept and most people are lazy.
