Conspiracy theorists claim that he was killed by someone else, as his fingerpints were not found on the gun, the pen the "suicide note" was written with, or the box of bullets. The amount of drugs found in his body may not have made it possible for him to independently carry out a suicide. Some say Courtney Love paid to have him murdered.

Courtney shot him because they were always high.... he probably told her too in a drug filled emotional moment.
There is no truth to what I just said... but it makes more sense than what they said happened.
