I'm a very interesting dreamer. I have dreams that are both in color AND b&w. I also have dreams which are in b&w and just one color (and dreams which are b&w and a few colors). Sometimes they look "real", sometimes they look "foggy", and sometimes they look like television (like I'm watching t.v.).

I have both good dreams and bad dreams. Some of my dreams are of the past, some of them actually foretell what's going to happen (which is quite obvious to me when events that I've dreamt do indeed occur), and some of them make absolutely no sense. I've heard it said that dreams don't last very long. However, I have filled entire notebooks by recording just one single dream. I often awaken with physical sensations and symptoms that are the results of the occurances in the dreams I've had... For example: Believe it or not, I've awakened with excruciating pain and vaginal bleeding after having had nightmares of being raped.

I also experience lucid dreaming- In other words, I experience dreaming with consciousness. When I lucidly dream, I am often able to control what happens in my dreams (although not always). And there are even times when I can dictate what my dreams will be about (sometimes entirely and sometimes only certain content). There are also instances in which I can ''pick up where I left off'' after I awaken and then return to slumber.

I have no explanation for any of the above. I've studied a bit of psychology but not much about dreaming.

(I apologize for venturing away from the specific topic.)

I think I dream in color. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't remember any colors from my dreams! Whenever I think back to my dreams, I'm so caught up with what actually happened in them than what colors there were. Haha, I'll have to check tonight.

Apparently, science has proven that we dream in black & white. I beg to differ, however. I just had a dream and I clearly remember a purple shirt.

You do not dream in color. When you wake up you supply the necessary "details" to the dream. For instance, if you dream of a certain smell, of course you did not smell it your sub consciense told you the smell was__ and usually your dreams are something whether you are aware of it or not, that is on your mind. Dreams also do not last long at all. And most people dream whenever they are asleep. You just do not remember them. I think that is where the sense of deja vu comes from. And people can be "made" to dream. I once dreamed that a man was trying to get in bed with me and I had to fight him off. He had a pair of wet draws in his hand and was rubbing them all over my mouth. When I woke up it was my dog licking all over my face and mouth. LOL

I believe some people dream in color, I do, and some black and white. However, some may dream in either one.

The dreams I remember are in color.

I dream in color. My dreams are also very vivid; I can smell scents in my dreams and feel objects and temperatures. I have to disagree with the other poster who says that we put the details in later. I have awaken numerous times because of pain or bad smells in my dream and when I woke up there was nothing of the sort around me.

I dream in color, sometimes they are very pleasent. I'll get up sometimes and when I go back to bed, hope I can return to the dream! It rarely suceeds.

I dream in color and I can control them. Which in turn gives me less sleep.
