100 = 10 squared
3600 = 60 squared
so he'll like 900 which is 30 squared

Methinks that John likes perfect squares. He likes 400, 100, and 3600, all of which can be square rooted to give an integer. Extrapolating this to the list of options, he would like 900 because it is the only perfect square.

That is from an IQ test, it is not maths!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I'm not sure you're meant to get help with Iq tests! The answer is 1200 or 1000 (it is a multiple of 200)
