I just washed my car with warm soapy car wash and washed off the bird dropping. After I dry it, I can still see a clear film that outline the dropping. I tried using my quick detailer and nothing happened. what else is there, I do NOT want to try household stuff like shampoo or detergent not made for my car.

I am glad to hear that you don't want to use household cleaners....they will totally destroy your paint. The best thing to use, is a "clay bar". Then paint cleaner, then either polish and wax, or just wax. Good luck....this should take care of the birdies.....

I had this same problem, or similar. I found the following at the link below - and then wrote to them and told them the droppings had been present for as long as 4-weeks. The guy suggested that I use 'extra fine cut rubbing compound,' which I did - and the spots disappeared! (I used DuPont.) Anyway, here's what they said about bird droppings:

Q: Are bird droppings bad for my car's paint/finish?
A: Yes – some more so than others. Bid droppings are acetic. They can eat all the way through the paint and that allows the metal to start rusting — if left on the paint long enough. You don't have to clean it off immediately, but you should not allow it to sit on the paint for very long. Three days would be too long. To remove the bird droppings, just a water flush is all that's needed – enough to ensure the droppings are rinsed off. The longer the droppings sit, the harder it is to remove them. If it sits too long, you should use soap and water to get that discoloring residue off. If it's been long enough, then wax may be called for.

Do not use any soap or car shampoo. Just wash your car with warm water and sponge. When it is dry, use wax polish, it will be gleaming again.

What kind of soap are you using? I think the brand I use is called Choral Blue? I think I'm not sure... When I wash my car usually everything comes off.
