There is a lot of rubbish talked about Nixon, and it's mainly from people who don't understand history and don't understand the influence he and Kissinger have had on the world today by opening up China. So definate no...Nixon was not a bad president. On to GW. I think that he is certainly one of the most stupid, even Regan with alzheimers made more sense. I think that he is one of the most needlessly destructive and yes in summary probably the worst in recent times. Carter was not too good for the US, but not too bad for the world. Kennedy however was also not the great that he has been portrayed. WW2 hero, great image, beautiful wife, model kids..........he had all the credentials of a great one, but one or two minor flaws. He didn't actually do anything, apart from bringing the planet closer to an all-out nuclear war than it has ever been before or since, ....the only other thing he did was Marilyn Monroe !!

There have been many presidents worse than poor George.
Buchanan, Taft, Carter, Clinton. They were all far worse than Bush.
George has had the unfortunate luck of having the worst press war in history and the most divided public since the Civil War. Worse even than the Viet Nam War.
People are so cynical and not one bit kind anymore. Also the left wing in America has taken a hard left turn way to the radical extreme.
There is a social struggle going on in America and it will get worse I fear before it gets better. George is just a victim of this time.

No he is not the worst president, in fact I do not think he can even come close. This is not to say he is not trying but the fact is if you want to base a presidency off of foreign policy look no further than Woodrow Wilson. His decision to have the US enter WW1 directly led to the Versailles Treaty which evenutally allowed Hitler to come to power in Germany. Then he refused to work with the senate and wondered why the Senate would not sign the treaty. Also his policy towards Russia to keep them in the war did a lot to help the communists come to power. So in effect one man did more than anyone else to make sure that the 20th centuary would be the bloodiest in human history and that man was Wilson.

Not knowing the history of the US that well, im not sure but i would say he has to head the list. Every time you watch him on TV, you wait for some wisdom, insight, presidential response to the crisis, many he has created and all you get is a guy who appears totally out of his depth, i can only assume that when he goes the American public and everyone else will breathe a sigh of relief. God bless America!

Bush is not the best president and I don't particularly care for him, but he is not even the worst in my lifetime. That honor goes to Jimmy Carter. America suffered gravely during his presidency. People may not like Bush or his actions, but like it or not the average American is doing okay for themselves under this administration. I know it is popular among the left to believe he will be considered the worst president ever, but history never remembers the political sentiment of the day. It remembers the events of the day and the general welfare of the country as a whole.

Eighty-one percent (81%) of American historians consider George W. Bush to be a failure. A substantial proportion rank him among the worst ever. Read the following article for more info:

Hands down -- worst president ever.
The only thing that puts him below Nixon is that as his last act Nixon did the right thing and stepped down.
Thats why Nixon was a better president then Bush!!!
Otherwise if Bush decides to step down, him and nixon in a tie!
Imagine being remembered as a worse president than nixon.
But Bush is so greedy, he'll care more about the money and favors hes colected in his failure as president for the american people, but his success at preverving the republican way of life!!!

He may be, until the next one comes along. The Americans take pride in the fact that absolutely anyone can become President. The trouble is that they can't stop proving it.
