It used to but then someone pointed something out to me that has always stayed with me.

There will be people who like you for all the right reasons...(because you are a great person, smart, funny, etc.)

There will be people who like you for all the wrong reasons...(petty reasons like maybe you have the coolest clothes or because of how you look...)

There will be people who don't like you for all the wrong reasons...(things that don't make sense or petty reasons and such...)

There will be people who don't like you for all the right reasons. (like maybe because of some things you have done that weren't good...maybe hurting someone else or the like...)

It is that last group you should worry about...the ones who don't like you for the right reasons. That can be a gauge sometimes showing us what we need to work on in ourselves. Make sense?

Besides, I figure if someone doesn't like me and either can't articulate why they don't or won't say why, they really aren't worth my effort or worry.

Take care! :)

Sweet Elf you are obviously not as jaded by life as I am.
In many ways that is a good thing. But as you experience more of life and "the games people play" you will come to realize that people are very strange unpredictable creatures.
If you know in your heart that you have done nothing to make a person dislike you then you should not waste your time and energy fretting over the situation.
There is always the option that you can ask them what they feel you have done to change their feelings for you.
But the reality is even the most kind and wonderful people in this world have someone who doesn't like them.
I am sure it is they who are the real loosers, by denying themselves the gift of friendship from you.
I never let is bother me. I don't like some people and I can't expect everyone to like me or agree with me all the time.
Time has taught me it is much easier to let it go and be free of the hurt and wondering.

It used to bother me a LOT. But I decided I'd just be driving myself crazy worrying about it, so I stopped. It's hard not to take it to heart, believe me. I used to feel like crying too, wondering what I might have said or did. But there's always going to be people who don't like you for whatever silly reason, and life is too short to give a care about it! Be strong, and be around people who like you for YOU. And I think you're a pretty cool person.

Aside from economic and racial prejudices, I find that a lot of people dislike someone else out of jealousy, so it doesn't bother me, but it can be annoying.

You may think, why would anyone be jealous of me? But some people are so selfish and delusional that they can't accept someone else bettering them in anything.

Dear dear, SweetElf, don't let ANYONE bring you down. You're a great person with an awesome personality and a great sense of humor. If someone bothers you again, you call me and I'll be right over to kick their @$$!

Sometimes but at some point we have to realize that it is not our problem you know? I mean if I don't know what I have done to offend you and you don't tell me then I am not sure what I am suppose to do! I try to not let it get to me but after wondering a little then I let it go...

Nope. Screw 'em. I've got better things to do than worry about someone else who doesn't have the nerve to confront me face to face.

Bothers me, I usually end up asking them what their issue is, unless I don't like them either.
