I have never been in that situation. Hope I never am...but I would have to say...to them...what are you doing? But I would turn them in. We pay extra for people who steal.
Hard to say though...would I turn in a person taking..say..a baby bottle...maybe not..but I would offer to buy it. I just did that Sat. Went to Tues. morn. to shop. At the register the worker was saying what a great price I got on a rug. I said yes, the sale was great. She then tells me how she wants a rug there, that was $100 but now is $20. I say you need to get it. She then says she will not be paid till next Friday..but then she will have rent and no money. I left the store. But I had to return, I bought her the rug. I just had to. It broke my heart. She then is crying, said it was the best day she ever had! And kept saying are you for real??? I said yes...I am. Left the store and I was crying. Sorry this story is so long.
Ciao!

Not unless it is mine then no, infact hell no.

It is not a good idea to get invlolved unless someone is getting hurt.

Think, if that person go to jail for like 2 years they will be pretty peeved, and they may find out who snitched.

Isn't there a saying "snitches get stiches" as colorfull as it seems it is true, its best to stay away from stuff like that. In my middle school (inner city) I saw at least a dozen diffrent kids high on something or with something or telling me they had something during the time I spent there.

I never told on any of them despite the reward...

If you saw someone stealing.. and it was not medicine, would you report them?

If you saw someone stealing.. and it was not basic learning materials, would you report them?

If you saw someone stealing.. and it was not a fire extinguisher, would you report them?

I need a lot more context to answer any question remotely like these.

Yes, I`m afraid I would, only because I had my purse stolen and I felt like I was violated, they knew everything about me and the fact that I had just cashed my paycheck for which I worked very hard for was included. I hate seeing someone`s possessions being ripped off when the thief does nothing to earn his own, but takes from others what they worked for.. Stores have their own security people and cameras to catch thieves, but ordinary people don`t, so yes, I`d report them.

No, because in all honesty, getting involved in other peoples buisiness only ends up leading to trouble. Eventually the stores/people will catch him over time, but to get involved would be to be putting yourself in danger for MATERIAL ITEMS. Not only that, but for all you know this person could have connections to dangerous people who may harm you and/or your family.
