If I were a guy and din't know how to dance, I would be honest and say I didn't know how, ask the girl if I could buy her a drink and tell her I'd dance to the next slow song. If that's no good, she could take a hike, it's better than being goofy.

I wouldn't be in a club if i didn't know how to dance anyways but if i was hell ya. Take the chance and just make it look like a joke, the girl might see it is confidence and a huge sense of humor which will be a thumbs up later on

Be honest and say "I suck at dancing but I will because you are hot"..........or whatever the reason is taht you want to dance with her, despite the fact you suck, then just bounce to the music.
what I would do is get some one to help you. Or next time you go out to a club, watch a dancer, then go out on the floor and try some moves. You'll never get better until you try. Don't be resigned to "I just can't dance".......try it, so what if it isn't your best asset? At least you can get yourself to the point of feeling decent about it!

If you asked a woman ,and she don't feel like dancing with you, she can say no thank you. You can say that too. are you talking about ballroom dance ? Usually couples goes to these dances. I never approach a man to dance with me,I just go to the dance floor and dance and a guy will come and join me. (non partner dance) if he knows how to dance swing,we ended doing swing. I saw an older woman asked several guys and all the guys turned her down, I feel so embarrased for her. It is unethical for a woman to approach a guy to dance with her,wait to be approach.

First off if you have never danced before you should practice at home or something. I agree with the dude. Just tell her you don't know how to dance and go anyways. Obviously she thinks you are cute since she asked and won't care.

Yes, you dance with her anyway. Sometimes it is really hard for a woman to approach a man and ask him to dance. Take a chance and just wing it. Move your body.

I am a woman and i have danced with other women and I am straight. Like anyone else it depends on the approach. I let my man dance with other women and he always comes back and if the girl is nice I make a new friend.

I've never been to a club, but if that ever happened to me, I'd simply teller I'd love to dance but don't really know how. If she's okay with that, then...
By the way, I'm a pretty decent dancer (or so I've been told).

of course you get up and dance!! and you tell her right off that you can't dance any better than a 2yr old shakin it w/a diaper on...then just get out there and let the music move you, hopefully she'll think its cute, and even more cute that you were honest and brave enough to tell her

Ummm... I wouldn't dance with a woman I don't know...lol, i'm straight. But, if I were a guy, I would play it off, but tell her before hand that I can't dance
