Heat may be recommended for some causes of ear pain. Eardrops may be prescribed to relieve pain and treat swimmer's ear. Antibiotics are used to middle ear infections. Over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen may be used to decrease the pain.

The pharmacy has a good over-the-counter vial of ear drops. They worked great for my daughter. When I tried to key in the brand name, a message popped up and said no spam. A really warm wash cloth held against the ear brings me relief although my doctor swears by an ice pack.

DO NOT PUT ANYTHING INTO YOUR EAR. If your in that much pain you may have a perforated ear drum. You need to be prescribed medication by a doctor. Using over the counter stuff is not going to help. My advise would be to go to the ER, if you cant wait until tomorrow.

well i don't get ear aches very often but when i do there a pain my dad rolls up a cone made out of like newspaper and you put the pointy part in your ear and on the other side you light with fire you wait until there's like a little puff or pop of smoke
and then there you go your ear ache should be gone
you may think its strange but my dad said that's how he's family did it when he was younger
but i was surprised it actually worked
