no bush is not the most intelligent man in the U.S.
CLEARLY, you are the smartest, perhaps in all the world.
you better look into it, because it's likely you're way underpaid.

No George Bush is not the smartest but he has nerves of steel. The msm and the Democrats have hated this man from the get go. I have never heard of any President who ever was hated as much or taken the abuse as he has. I can't understand why any Republican would even want this job???????

I truly don't think that we elect a President on if they are the smartest, if that is the case, something went wrong, many, many, many, many, many, many years ago.
It doesn't take too many smarts to run for office, you can lie your way through debates, and such, promise the world, get people to side with you, and then, once elected have amnesia and forget what you promised everyone.
I don't have a clue who the smartest person is, and who would decide that anyway? How does one determine the smartest?

The answer to your question is no. How ironic that on the morning of 9/11 when he was reading to group of 1st graders the book was upside down.
Even if it was a publicity photo he should have had the intelligence to notice it was upside down.
Just because he was elected twice (sadly) doesn't make him smart or qualified for the job.

Sadly he is not the dumbest that doubious honor would go to his loyal Bush-bots who defend and post at his every utterance and whim lest greater minds prevail and progress be made.

This is a trick question, right? He has the most important job in the US, but he is definitely not what you would classify as "smart"! More like dumb as dogshit!!!

If we picked the smartest person to be President, then Benjamin Franklin would have been President instead of Washington. I believe Carter had the highest IQ of any of the Presidents who have been measured, and look at how well his Presidency turned out.
The higher a person's intelligence goes, the more 'common sense' seems to go out the window. I've read in multiple biographies that Einstein was very eccentric, and had trouble tying his own shoes. There needs to be a good balance of intelligence and common sense. As much as I disliked him, I believe Clinton would be a textbook example of just the right ratio of common sense/intelligence. Bush seems to need to think a little more with his brain, and a little less with his gut.
