East coat is a close second. but the south its too like materialistic most of the rappers from the south only rap about their Lambos or twenty million doller masions and the stupid grillz , i listen to that and i think this is so stupid I dont have that crap that they are rapping about so why should i care, and the mid west is like Blah

I don't know who's set got the best rappers, but I know for sho who's got the worst rappers....THE DIRTY SOUTH! THEY SHOULD BE BAND FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE RAP MUSIC FIELD! I hate the dirty south's rappin style the most. Most of their rap songs sound real stupid and they don't seem to ever talk about anything besides, bend over, show ya butt girl ...and stupid sh._t like that!!! It's like they just don't have no damn brainS!! And the bad part about it is the dirty souths rap form has taken over the whole rap music sound today. I HATE IT!!!!

I'M Gonna Vote For The East Coast, and Throw Tupac in their, the true 'KING OF RAP'!!!!

I guess it all really matters where you're from and what you grew up around. If you go to NY, you know why NY songs sound the way they do. Same thing if you go out West or down South. It's about the atmosphere. It influences the music, and then in turn influences the listener. So if you've never been to these places, you may not understand why they rap this why or why their beats sound like that.

Actually, Tupac was from East Harlem. He didn't get into the rap game until his family moved to the west coast. His style was mostly 'west coast' with his own original flavor.

As far as my personal favorite style, it depends on my mood. If I want to chill, I'll listen to some good 'ol Snoop, Pac, Dre, Kurupt, etc. If I'm feeling hyper, I'll listen to some good Hyphy sh**. If I need something to listen to while I'm doing something else, like working on something, I'll listen to some good East Coast, Midwest, or Nasty North rap. When I'm feeling like gettin crunk or I'm at a club, I wanna hear a mixture, but especially some hard hittin sh** from the dirty-dirty.

To each his own.

you gotta forgive the south for talkin bout cars, money , and women because their songs arent centered on gang bangers and shootouts thats not their fault rap is like poetry you rap about what you know about if they dont know it then id would be fake and people would hatem 4 that. in the south back in slavery they played uppbeat music to keep them selves moving and that has passed on to today we have upbeat music and most of our somes are about dances or are something you can dance to. im a fan of the south because you can g=dances to the music and if you aint never been through some 4real s*i* in you like then you will not understand rap about that kind of stuff im not rich but id like to be

umm...well i dont even actually think it matters no more... it depends on ur artist preference... like i like ludacris, clipse, diplomats (or dipset wutever u wanna call em) old school snoop n dre, twista, r kelly... dey all from different places... but if i had to pick a place i wud chose da south, even tho im not from there, dey got a lot of bass heavy club bangers dat sound tight... it dont matter bout da lyrics unless ur in a bad mood or ur a poetic soul or a rapper urself.. haha... but i dont think da area matters well at least not to me
