Penang or Singapore?

My gf asked me to join her to live in Penang but I am a singaporean. I do not believe in long distance relationship. If I can't compromise, I might lose her for good. Any sound advice out there?

I think it's easier for a Singaporean to adjust to Penang than for her to adjust to Singapore. You can have a nice life style there. You could rent a bungalow there for the cost of an HDB three room flat in Singapore. There's so many things to do there including water sports.

But don't be intimidated when people smile at you on the street. There just friendly.

I know many people who retired in Penang. Do you know anyone who comes to Singapore to retire?
