i was on my computer a few hours ago and i turned and saw a big one on the side of my bed, it crawled around the from before i could do anything and when i came back with raid and moved the mattress it wasn't there, it probably moved under the bed cause thats the only dark place. i turn the light off and left for an hour to see if it would come out but i came back and looked around and think its still there. so now i have a roach living under my bed and i cant sleep. anyone know a way i can scare it out or get to it without emptying the entire can of raid under the bed?

just fog the room real well and leave for an hour, then come back and allow it to air out..
heres a scary thought:: you know where ever there is 1 roach, there are probably a hundred hiding somewhere nearby.. People would freak if they only knew that within a vicinity of a few feet there are thousands of bugs all around us everyday.. its just nature..
Anyways.. just do as I said.. give the room a good fogging with that raid, leave it for an hour.. but remember to air it out when you return..

quite, i don't. regrettably, as between the greater insulated from the "genuine international" persons reported, roach infestation isn't consistently on the subject count number of cleanliness. (you ought to get out greater, Michael.---by some means i've got self belief you will look to justify what you reported.) The homes of my getaway compound on Vanuatu are "sealed"-- even the boathouse-- whilst i'm not there, yet whilst i'm going there I unavoidably locate "roaches" and so now I quite have the exterminator in before i'm getting there. some areas of the international, merely have "roaches" and periodically residences ought to be fumigated. Roach eggs can holiday undiscovered in the folds of carboards packing containers, on the exterior of fruit, different foliage, etc. . . . or they only "get in" from the encircling terrain. The previous recommendation is that if there have been a nuclear holocaust .. .roaches might stay to tell the story any human existence.

I live in Florida in the woods and roaches and palmetto bugs are a constant thing here.
I don't know what to tell you on how to flush it out but if it were me I'd just keep looking until I found it.
To kill them I do know what to tell you.
I hate the smell of those bug sprays and they are toxic to everything that lives in the house-people-dogs-fish etc.
I accidentally found this out.
That spray cleaner called Greased Lightning?
WoW!! You hit a roach with that stuff and they react like they've been scalded..
They flop on their back in spasms and die.
It's so COOL!!!
And this stuff doesn't stink or leave the greasy residue that bug sprays leave.
By the way-hot water also kills them instantly too.

Well when I was much younger we wore these black shoes that had real pointy toes. They had a spring loaded snap for a tongue to hold them on. They were actually a forerunner of the Beatle Boot but we called them cockroach killers cause if a roach got into a corner, you could virtually stab him with the toe of the shoe.

they were also called fence climbers. ( Gotta remember, this was in the late 50's and early 60's)

Take a broom and sweep it underneath your bed, and it might crawl out. Then spray it with raid or whatever. I hate roaches with a passion.

Shine a torch on it? But then it might run at your face. You will have to move the bed to get it scared enough to run out. It probably isnt even there anymore, they dont really hang around in one place for long.

You can buy cockroach baits. they look like a little box, the roach goes in one side (tempted by I know not what) and comes out the other and dies. You can get ant traps like this too. Just enquire at your hardware store or look on the supermarket shelves.
