I am getting ready to replace a water pump on my car, and i have to remove the timing to do that. My question is what is the expected lifetime of a timing chaing (chain, not a belt). The Engine is a simple pushrod engine with 132,000 miles on it). I inspected the timing chain and gears, and they seem fine, but should i expect a issue with it stretching, etc? thanks for your input!

thanks for the input so far, keep those opinions coming...oh and its a dodge v6, and one of the water pump bolts are about 3/4 behind the cam gear...so i figure better to remove it rather then gum it up trying to get in there
