To answer your question...people think interracial marriage is okay because it is okay...and for you to say "the couple knows it's not" is so one sided....who is "the couple"??? If it wasn't okay then the marriage wouldn't be happening...you marry who you fall in love with. Whether it's same race, same gender, same age, same height, same weight or same disability....you marry who you are in love with who you are compatible with, who you want to share your life, your dreams, your hopes, your aspirations and your future with. Hopefully that "couple" you are talking about knows one thing for sure and that is that they love one another and that they are marrying one another because of that love and no other reason.

There are a lot of problems in an interracial marriage especially when both of you live in a more reluctant, conservative society, but just think of the many marriages that did work. If the two love each other that`s the only thing that matters.

wat actually do u mean by not ok for interracial marriage because im also in an interracial marriage and my husband and i find it to be ok. if u and ur partner r not ok with the marriage where other ppl think its ok, then the problem is between the of u. maybe u both do not being honest to one one another. honesty is critical in interracial marriage because both of u need to learn about one another very specifically. and of course both of u need to accept the good and the bad of one another. (i mean the community of each of u)

I don't think there is a problem with being in an interracial marriage. a person cant help who they fall in love with.

I'm in a interracial marriage and I think it's ok.
I don't know why it wouldn't be. It's not like we're a different species.

that is soo racist! interracial marriage is ok! as long as ppl love each other (it may sound sappy but w/e!) besides its none of ur business who ppl marry!! if u dont like it, just look the other way!

Do you mean blacks and whites, asians and whites, etc. It is normal and it is right. Why should every race stay with there own, dont you think we should mix it up a bit? If we never mixed dont you think most people would look the same? You know im getting real sick and tired of racism especially on this site.
Its not about the color of your skin, its if you connect emotionally.

my parents thought it was fine for them... and frankly, i'm rather glad of it.
they've been married for 32 years and have three kids, all of whom are college educated, hold down professional/high paying jobs and are doing fine. (yes, even me!) while the 'rents argue occasionally, they're generally happy and healthy and waiting for one of us to "bless them" with the first grandchild... which will be guaranteed to be "interracial", thank you very much.
