the "govt leaders growing fat on corruption" are our leaders. 2 oil men in office attacking and taking control of a country that "happens" to be rich in oil. and then when they have control and give a no bid contract to haliburton (cheneys old company)to sale oil to us here in the states, it goes up to ridiculous record shattering all time highs. who do you think that money is going to? it is blindly irresposible for us to give a pass to our politicians getting fat off the american people because theyre "wiping out terrorism." what a joke, the bush families and the bin laden families have been business partners in numerous oil ventures over the generations. we need to wake up and call bullshit on our govts true intentions in iraq.

Remember when John Lennon said that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was not about LSD?? We all had to laugh and say, "Nice try, John".

Now look at this: Operation Iraqi Liberation-----not about O.I.L.???? Nice try, George!

I think it's just more of the negative lib b.s.

The majority of those oilfields have not been operable since the Iran-Iraqi war and their government doesn't have the available funds to get them functioning again.

The agreement being forged with them immediately gives them a share of profit that they wouldn't have otherwise, steps up their level of profit over the next 20-25 years and at that point, returns total control over to them.

Oil companies have paid over 2.2 trillion dollars in taxes over the past 25 years.

More than anyone, those who criticize the cost of the war in Iraq should welcome the opportunity to bring some of that money back to our government and our economy.

The war in Iraq is all about oil. There are presumptions that Bush and Bin Laden had orchectrated 9/11 to control the oil thereat. Anyway, these are all theories.

Gas has gone up because we haven't built a new refinery in the US since the 70's. Look it up. It's simple supply and demand.

You can thank the environmentalists for that.
