Hi,

check out www.fpb.org, they may be able to help you out on legal advice against a company.

Hope they help.

Why wouldn't you sue (not sew) the people who scammed you? Were they selling a defective spell checker?

Most newspapers do not take responsibility for anything in the ads they run, and print something in the paper stating so.

You can SUE if you can prove that the newspaper knew it was a scam before printing it. Otherwise, you're much better off suing the company that placed the ad, or turning them into the authorities. They are, after all, the ones with your money, not the newspaper.

You probably can't sew them, although it might be fun to stick needles in them. And you probably can't sue them either. But I'd recommend that you contact one of the editors in charge of Advertising or "Editorial Content" and write a letter describing what happened. Describe the ad, when it appeared, and your experience. You can also contact the the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and report the fraud on-line at https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup

Are they cut or injured and need stitches? Why would you sew them? A pair of socks or a pillow case, maybe, but a human being??? If you sewed me, I'd sue you in a court of law.

are you going to sew their fingers to their pants so they can't type set any ads any more? or would you like to sue them? If you are suing i'm a sure they have a disclaimer somewhere in their ad section that says they are not responible for the content of the ads.

Not unless you can prove they knew it was a scam or something illegal.
