Sometimes at bedtime my wife will provoke me. Then she convinces me that if I let her hogtie me, then she will reciprocate. sometimes she does, but sometimes she does not. Either way she then rolls over and goes to sleep, leaving me bound until the following day. I do love her and want to make her happy, but more often then not I have to submit to her wishes if I want to have the opportunity to... well you know. And she like to be on top. How can I correct this?

S/M play usually involves a safety word. When the word is said by the submissive, the dominant should stop. This should be agreed upon before you begin. If your wife won't agree to these terms, don't do it with her anymore. She sounds like a control freak to me.

It sounds like your wife has power issues. She feels she needs to be in total control to be comfortable. The fact that she will bind you then got to sleep is a another way of her controlling you. Your foot needs to go down and just tell her that this needs to stop.
In the very least to untie you after...well you know.

Correct what? Sounds pretty interesting to me. You might get a little more...well you know...if you can manage to seem more disinterested in it. As a dominant, she may give you what you aren't so eager for, but is disinclined to give you what you desire too greatly. Either stop the game or learn the rules.

in the process, well you know, its nice to get there under playful circumstances.
under no circumstances should you let her hog tie you again. its very dangerous.

You need to tell her you aren't interested in that kind of bedroom play. If she loves you, she'll respect how you feel. If not, then I suggest taking a closer look at where your marriage is heading.
