hey hun
okay so if your looking into a serious career in modeling....here are the basic requirments....
height requirments for men are 5'll to 6'3 if you are tall then that is a major plus for high fashion models
go to as many open calls as you can
wear form fitting clothes.....clean cut have snap shots ready if required.
if they don't get back to you then don't give up each season they are looking for different looks if you don't get chosen then try for a different agency.
anyways good luck
here are some good legit agencies

AND NEVER PAY FOR AN AGENCY THAT IS A SCAM ALSO. agencies make their percentages off of the model..

please remember this: if an angency is interested in you, they will pay for your costs. if you ever have to pay anything up front, yes! it is a scam! you are only 14!!! don't worry about it! enjoy high school, and enjoy having a childhood! the biggest fashion industries are in new york, LA, London, Paris, Milan, and Tokyo. If you are willing to travel and put forth 100% of your year with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas then modeling is for you! Starting out at a 16 year old model and living on my own in a country where they don't speak english is hard... finish school! grow up a little! eveyone can say they have the confidence for it, but in all reality it's hard being turned down! the modeling industry isn't like what you are visualizing! it isn't fashion shoots all day long with the cash flow just running in! it is20-30 castings a day and YOU get yourself there! you don't have a driver like in ANTM! Besides, unless you get a campaign (like Loreal, Roxy, etc.) you don't really make bank!
So in short:
1) Modeling schools are a scam: if a desinger wants you for their show...they teach you how to walk!
2) You shouldn't ever have to pay for anything up front!
3) get your braces off, and enjoy going to school! why put school on a shelf to go off and live by yourself without mom or dad while you are so young?

relax ur just 14!! You will get to remove the braces soon... just remember whats in the past is in the past, and now u have to try and solve ur problem. Look for a lot of diferent agencies and send them ur pics.... Dont loose hope! If you want it that much ur gunna get it. Modeling is just as hard as being a cop or a model anyways (in my opinion). There is pressure just like any job.. good luck!

think how perfect those teeth will be when they take those braces off..and I have seen models that model for dentest ads with braces...You need to get an appointment with a legitimate modeling agency and find out when they are taking open appointments..bring a portfolio of different modeling poses in different styles, indoor and outdoor. They won't see you with out a portfolio of professionally done pictures..A wedding photographer can do them..but get someone who is hip on outside photography...and get your make-up professionally done before photo shoot.
If you sighned up and gave money to a modeling agent, then try to get your money back,,type them a formal letter asking for a full and complete refund.and at the bottom of the letter.put:
cc: stewart and stewart law firm
or what ever name you want,I did this and got immediate attention.

1.norelle on americas next top model in like season 2 had braces
2. its really hard to get into the buisness, trust me, tons of kids sign up when in reality, there is only one job available
3. go to a modeling school to learn the basics, like walking and personality and how you dress. i found john robert powers very helpful, very professional and very committed to seeing you achieve your best
4. if you want to go directly to a modeling agency, go to the top cities like LA where it will be easier to find an agency, even if it is a little one, plus if you do get a job, it would be a lot easier because you live in the area.
good luck!

In the USA, the professional modeling industry is located in NYC. If you want to model you must live in NYC. Wait until you are older before you move here.
