i don't think it's dangerous. it's a natural anti anxiety mechanism. i'm into that right now because I really need a break and to relax from a lot of stress I had the past months.
of course if you really sleep a lot , like waking up in the afternoon, it's a sign of depression.
what's wrong with escape? eventually you'll wake up and face the music.

For some people reality is really messed up. So sleeping is an alternative reality for you. And sometimes there are things out there that have to be escaped from. Some escape from the kitchen when a mouse runs by. Others face tigers and are not afraid. And how can you escape from something by sleeping? You can only sleep so much and then you are awake and then you cannot escape. You seem to make it then. If you sleep and you are not ill then you need to sleep. We all use it somewhat to escape the days affairs. That is what sleep is for.

It is not dangerous, it is helpful. I had use it in the past. When there were problems that I have no control over, instead of getting stress out I went to sleep. Of course when I wake up the problem still there but at least I am well rested and can cope with the stress better. There was one lesson I learned from that experience though, no matter how bad it is, nothing last forever. Another word the sun will shine after the rain.

By escape, you mean like how alcoholics escape by the bottle or how junkies use the needle?

If you took large amounts of sleeping pills...yes, this would be bad. Always pumping any pill into your system, whether that is just an aspirin, or a sleeping pill, over time your liver won't work as well anymore...

Yes, sleeping would be dangerous, if you used a type of sleeping pill.

Hi

Great question

Sometimes sleeping is and can be used as a tatic to avoid facing a difficult problem or decision or a continuation of both

Usually when this happens , depression, maybe a likely cause

Usually building someones confidence to help them , deal with the fear can be the answer, or maybe finding the solution to the problem helps. facing the monsters is often not as hard as we first believed.

Hope this helps

Enjoy the week
