yes. if you got a gift and you didnt or wouldn't use/need then you can give it to someone else. just make sure not to that same person who gave you the present and of course, dont let both know

I do it instead of throwing a gift away, or letting it occupy cabinet space until you forget it is there.
Once upon a time, I used to keep these things, believing I will find use some day. Until I realized it is more practical to give it to a person who will appreciate it. And giving it away immediately avoids the chance that you forget who gave it to you, and you could possibly recycle it back to the giver. Horrors!
Most often, I give it to the needy. They are less critical of the kind or quality of the gift. In fact, they appreciate whatever as some sort of manna from heaven.

Not for me! I don’t like the idea because it loses the spirit of giving. I’m a bit of sentimentalist.
I better keep all the gifts I received even if it’s not my preference. But in case it is the same item as what I already have, I am casually giving the items to my mother or relatives.
The gifts I give are intentionally made or purchased only for a specific person.

What do you mean by recycling?
Recycling is the reprocessing of materials into new products.
That thing (gift) is now yours; you can now do whatever you want to do as long as it turns into a nice creation.
But as a respect to the one that gave it to you, make it something useful or give it to someone who will give importance to it like the way you do…

Yes, My mother did this on a regular basis.
If you receive a gift that you neither like or need, slip the gift tag back on to it (so you never return it to the person who sent it to you, or close relatives or neighbours for that matter) and ..if... you think it is a suitable gift for someone else make sure that the giver will never see/know about it.

When I get gifts that I don't like nor need, I usually give them to the charity drives. You know, the ones in schools where the student council leaves big boxes along the hallways, saying "toys for the poor boys" or something like that during christmas. I wouldn't want to run the risk of accidentally giving the gift to the person who actually gave it to me. ^_^

Yes, it is okay to recycle gifts especially if you did not need them and would just only take up space in your home.

most certainly. (like receiving 3 of the same kind of wallet in christmas) just make sure you are recycling your gift in a different circle of friends. (meaning, if you got your gift from a childhood friend visiting, you can give it to your office mate) just make sure of this. you dont want to break hearts wouldnt u.

I've been accused of it, and guilty.... so... yeah, it's ok, IF you honestly think the gift fits the occasion. Ya got two toasters from a wedding or something, ya don't pass it off on a birthday, ya keep it for the next wedding you go to.
