hi everyone
i have a dell dimension 3000, window xp, 160gb hd, cd rw, 1gb mem, 3 ghz.
now the problem i am having is when i start my computer i get this weird message
primary drive 1 not found!
secondary drive 1 not found!
strike the F1 key to continue
F2 to run the setup utility..
i need some help from all the computer geniuses out there. someone please please help me get rid of this message.

you have lost your bios setup. now this could be the battery as gone on the mother board and needs replacing.. it costs a couple of bucks to buy.

so what you do for the time being is press f2 and run the systems setup, on the first menu it should tell you what hard drive is in depending on the setup you have..
master HDD = should be set at auto
slave = cd rom drive should be set to cd rom
once it is set press Esc key goto save setting hit enter and reboot it should boot up, if it dose ok.. you will need to do that every time you boot the system up, until you get a bios battery
