Our government only cares about your suicide attempts if they take you out of thecapitalists loop...

You can kill yourself using alchohol...
Or get splattered onto the pavement in a sports car...
But if you want to do it the cheap way: with a rope, or a gun, or by jumping off a building... that is against the law...

I say, if you wanna die...That's your business, so long as you take me along with you, we're cool.

Yes. When the husband of Terry Shiavo got the government to disconnect her feeding tubes, that was murder. She had some brain function and had a right to life. If someone has an incurable illness and is in alot of pain and wants assistance to end his or her life, than this would be an assisted suicide.

Yes, someone who is murdered has a whole life ahead of them. Someone who gets assistance to help kill themselves are terminally ill and have asked to be given mercy because they are in excruciating pain and are going to die anyways. Big difference. However, I don't think it should be legalized because it would open doors for greedy family members to murder their kin legally. Oh, we already do that when we pull the plug or starve them to death because it is like a euphoria according to doctors. Sorry where was my mind at? In remembrance of Terry Shiavo. I would just like to add that her case was only one of many, what they did to Terry happens everyday. You could be next. Better hope you don't slip down the stairs and incur a brain injury. : (

Like another poster stated, it depends on who you ask.
Murder is the ending of someone's life, against their will.
Assisted suicide is supposedly done with the victims permission and blessing.
The gray are comes in when the victim/patients state of mind is questioned.
In my opinion, they are two entirely different things. Unfortunately, the courts don't agree.

Depends who you ask. Assisted suicide is when the person is killing them-self of their own free will.
