And God smote them all.

Jesus would not be a Republican or Democrat. I think he would be liberal. I say that because he healed the rich and the poor. He believed in love your neighbor and do onto others as you would have them do unto you. Republicans believe in screw the poor. Democrats are too weak to believe in anything. Only the liberals care about the environment and a WE society instead of a ME society. Martin Luther King was a great uniter too, but our gov branded him a socialist and un-american because he was against the vietnam war. If Jesus were around now the government would brand him unamerican, a socialist because he would want healthcare for all and unpatriotic because he would be against the war. The gov would brainwash everyone with commercials and spin and half of america would hate him for being unamerican and the other half would have a brain to decide on their own. They would probably kill him all over again. We are no more enlightened than when we were back then.

well considering that almost every thing the republican party has done has gone against every thing Jesus stood for, I don't think he would go any where near that party. if you take out the "re" you will notice that it says "publican" the Biblical definition of a "publican" was some-one who was often a thief, liar, and one who took advantage of others. they are listed among the harlots and sinners. a lot of them were tax collectors in their day. if you any thing about tax collectors in Bible times they would often charge twice as much as the law required and pocket the difference. (sounds a lot like the REpublicans of today, right!)

Do unto others, then run.
It would be easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to pay his fair share of taxes.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be ground under your heel.
If at first you don't succeed, become President.

rather than ( it's harder for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle) it would be ( it is harder for working man to enter the gates of our community than for a mid level executive to pass through the eye of our bourgeois detector)

Lies and gibberish... This one is it for me folks for the night.
To all those who agreed and those who didn't I wish you a good night. To the Dems, Reps, Libs, Cons, Greens, Libertarians, Independents, and those I forgot to include have a good night. I've had fun on Y/A as usual and I hope to harass and support all of you accordingly after I've had some sleep... GOOD NIGHT!

I saw a bumper sticker today that said Jesus is a liberal. The first thing that popped into my head was abortion. Wow.

As a flaming liberal convicted felon I can only surmise that Jesus is a Republican. He was not a felon and could therefore not be one of us.
