Of course, rejection hurts. Because everybody want to feel wanted by the person the like/love.

It hurts for everyone and definatly for me. Some guys like attention/effection and others don't. Put it this way ... there is a reason that he's your ex.

some people are dense and some people are selfish you can help a dense person to learn to give back. a selfish person your better off having as an ex. Either way it hurts alot

oh yes, like hell.
that's what happened to me with my ex.
:-D
I gave her everything I posibly could. I loved her more than she could posibly have wanted. apperently it scared the heck out of her, and so she ran away. and now she won't talk to me. yea. it hurts.

why do they do it?
different people have different reasons.
I'd have to find out about yours to explain it for them...
but for mine: she doesn't think anybody could posibly love her without wanting something back, she assumes that anybody who proclaims to love her will abuse her and throw her away. so, she did it first.
and when I continued to show her that i cared, she ran away.

there really isn't an answer, you could ask your preist or rabbi or whatnot, they could give you a why.
for psych, you have to really get inside their head.

sorry I don't know, but nobody really does. only they do, and maybe not even them.
maybe commiseration helps?

I'm the same way. Emotions are very difficult for me. Lot of failed relationships because of this. Been in therapy but nothing helps much. Maybe thats why I'm such a drunk.

He doesn't know how to respond to the love you offered, he will realise if he hasn't already what a sweetheart you really are.

Well maybe he just wants to be friends and dos not want to be any more then that and he may think if he give you affection you may want more then friends so he will back away.

I hate it too, but it is symptomatic of something else being wrong in the relationship.

He just wasnt the one for you...keep looking!
