Whenever I think I have it bad, I just remind myself of how bad others might have it. One day, while searching for some movie trivia, I stumbled upon this gentleman's website. I'm inspired by his ability to put things into perspective. I have the utmost admiration for people who take adversity and turn it into opportunity. No, I don't think that my life sucks. I don't think that life in general sucks at all. I think life is a beautiful, wonderful gift from God. There is good and bad in everyone's life. If we focus on everything we don't have, we become bitter and negative people. If we focus on every mistake we make, we become someone that isn't confident in our own talents and abilities. We are amazing people when we come to think of it. I have an amazing life. I don't want to waste it wishing it was something that it isn't. I have been through some hard stuff. I won't lie about that. But, oh, the good stuff is so much better.
It's like the cream in the double stuff Oreo. It's just the good stuff of life. I have a great family. They have never, ever let me down. I have the ability to be in a country where I can walk out on my street and laugh. Some countries have laws that prohibit public laughter. I can laugh!! The sound of a child's laughter is music to my ears. I can sing and it lifts my spirits so much. I can look out and see the world around me -- and creation is SO beautiful. No, my life doesn't suck. It's WONDERFUL!

Yes, sometimes I do think my life sucks, but then I think of starving children around the globe. I think of children who are afraid to sleep at night because their parents might come and beat them. I think of women and men who are alone on the street, with no one to love.

life is great i went from a drug addict to a well respected middle class american in my home town and yes there are people who have it alot worse than us and i always give back
