Need help with 2 algebra problems.?

I am reviewing for next year and wanted some help (This is NOT homework, because nobody is making me do it and I am not getting a grade for it, so do not feel wrong or like you are helping me cheat on anything because you are not.

Okay lets get too it.

There is one in this problem and it asks what the area of the shaded region is.

The outer area (the shaded part) has the top (3x+2) and the right side (x+1) the inside(not-shaded) is (3x) the top and the side is (x).

What is the area of the shaded area.

A 3x+2
B 5x+2
C 3x^2+5x+2
D 6x^2+5x+2

I am sorry it is kinda confusing but please try and by the way I got B using foil and some subtracting.

The next one has me stumped, "Which expression represents the product of 3 consecutive even integers,the first of which is 2x.

F 6x+6
G 2x^3+6x^2+4x
H 8x^3+8x^2+8x
J 8x^3+24x^2+16x

I thought it said 3 consecutive integers you put more than that...

The answer of the second problem first
The three consecutive even integers starting with 2x are 2x,2x+2 and 2x+4
Hence the product is
2x(2x+2)(2x+4)
=(4x^2+4x)(2x+4)
=8x^3+16x^2+8x^2+16x
=8x^3+24x^2+16x
Hence J is correct choice

until and unless you describe the figure correctly or specify if it is a triangle or parallelogram or square etc. it is not possible to answer your first question

The second one is 2x * (2x + 2) * (2x + 4)

= 2x * (4x^2 + 12x + 8)

= 8x^3 + 24x^2 + 16x

1. area of whole region= ( 3x+2)(x+1)
=3x^2+5x+2
area of inner side=( 3x)(x)
=3x^2
area od shaded region= (3x^2+5x+2)-(3x^2)
= 5x+2

2. dont understand ur question.sorry.but i think is like this.
2x( 2x+2)(2x+4) = 2x( 4x^2+12x+8)
= 8x^3 + 24x^2+ 16x
answer is J
