I'm sitting here watching Anchors Aweigh and Kelly and Sinatra are singing If You Knew Susie. Well those aren't the lyrics I learned, so I googled them. Turns out my lyrics are from 1926 and got a "spicy" rewrite for this musical.

But here's the thing. The lyrics are on a bunch of different sites with the same errors.

Susie is a not a "lot of balusie." She's a "lollapaloozy." As in "lollapalooza."
Susie does not "want her Navy-ee." She "won her 'Navy-E'."
Also, you get "woozy," not "woosy," after a "date," not a "day" with Susie.

Only one site has the correct lyrics:
http://sfgk.free.fr/ifyouknewsusie.htm
It's got some typos, but reasonable ones considering the site's French.

So what's the deal?

There are SO many sites with lyrics on them. I've searched through so many of them that I can't even remember half of them. I have a 360 page and I post songs on my blogs. I put the lyrics and also the video as well. So I've looked through TONS of music/lyrics to find the right ones.
You're going to find those that have taken their time to make sure they are right and you're going to find those that just publish whatever they find first and don't seem to give a darn about whether they are helping someone or not.
Good luck with finding whatever you need, whenever you need it.
But I will say this, I've found that Leos Lyrics is the best one yet that I've tried. www.leoslyrics.com
I hope this has helped. :)

Way back in the early days of the web, there weren't many lyrics online. One person with time to spend would type lyrics to the best of their ability and post them somewhere online, maybe on a little website of their own. Over the years, other websites have sprouted up and copied lyrics from other sites to get whatever lyrics they could find. They don't care if the lyrics are actually correct or not...it's all about advertising revenue.

Sometimes lyric sites allow other listeners to edit the lyrics. In this case, the lyrics were edited wrong.

The best thing to do is to correct the lyrics if you feel you know them better, look in a CD cover for the lyrics by the artist, or look for lyrics that are in common with multiple lyric sites.

I have never had a problem like that before, sorry I can't be of any help!
