His lawyers have even stated in the hearing that this is racially motivated. I'm white, and I think that if he is guilty he should get the maximum penalty. I also have a dog, and I'm attached to my dog and I love him.

But my question, why has this been turned into a race thing? I personally dont think it's racially motivated, but I have a good feeling he's going to be in alot of trouble because of the overwhelming amount of evidence linking him to a tri state dog fighting ring.

Everything involving a black person always seems to come out as the whites are against that blacks and they always say it's racist. Black people are using this as a tool, I'm sick of hearing both blacks AND whites talk about race involving everything and people should quit using race as a tool. It's not a race thing, Vick is searching for a way out cause he knows he's screwed. His boys and him are going to be seeing some time behind bars.

The people that have attempted to move this issue to the Race Zone, are the high-dollar lawyers that are clamoring here for ANYTHING to get some relief from the weight of the charges against this man !! They know that if they can get the slightest leverage with this topic, they will come out better in the long run with the final slap !!!!
When weighed against the severity of the evidence in this matter -- makes no difference at all --- white, black, brown, or chartroise -- this matter should get a full measure of slap down !!! BUT -- oddly enough, in America -- you will see this play out --- you get exactly the justice that you pay for !! So, look for this man to be relieved of a good chunk of his "mad money" and get a little -- "don't do that again " --- and he'll be back at ringside in some off the beaten path farm somewhere cheering his favorite hound on within a year from now !!!!!!!!

It is a race thing because he is a high profile black athelete and the media is focusing on Vick supporters who are black. Just like at the court house, the majority of the anti-Vick were white and 99.9% of supporters were black. Every media source mentioned something about that.
The sad thing is the informants in this case are black, so race should not have anything to do with it. Not only because of that reason, but it is an interesting fact. It was'nt like the white man was out to get him. He screwed up, if found guilty give him maximum sentence.( wishful thinking)

i does no longer go particularly that far. 50 years in penal complex is plenty too plenty for some thing like canines-combating. He did destroy rules, yet so did O.J. and Robert Blake and that they are nonetheless strolling the streets unfastened adult adult males. i think of it quite is an uncomplicated case of him making a bad determination and clearly striking around the incorrect human beings, yet i do no longer think of the dude is sick. He has quite found out who his acquaintances quite at the instant are being that all of them have popular deals to testify against him if it is going to trial. i think of he could settle for a deal besides, take his suspension for the remainder of the season, and resume his profession next year. human beings will heckle him for the remainder of his profession, make relaxing of him, and talk at the back of his decrease back, yet it particularly is his very own doing. I agree that he's no longer the suitable determination-maker interior the international, on the sector OR off, yet i do no longer think of he desires a optimal sentence for it. Michael Vick under no circumstances quite had any off-field incidents earlier than this. His brother is extra of a knuckle-head than he's! Michael Vick would be fantastic. He lost all his endorsements and doubtless some followers, yet he would be fantastic. comparable factor befell to Kobe or maybe he has gotten some endorsements decrease back in the process the final couple of years. I in simple terms think of there are various worse issues going on interior the international than Michael Vick 's case.

Its been turned into a race issue because his lawyers want it to be a race issue. It's a very aggressive defense, and far too often it works in cases where the issue is everything except race. As far as the lawyers go, the truth, facts or anything else doesn't matter except whether they win the case and, of course, money. Mike Vick will get whatever defense his money will buy.

It has been turned into a race issue because, sadly, there are people in power in that situation that have the ability and (wrong) motivation to do such a thing. Doesn't matter what color he is, IF he was involved to the extent he has been implicated, he should get max penalty. I haven't been following it close enough to see which "side" turned it into a race issue, but if a white person did it, it was more than likely to attack the "rich black athlete" stereotype, and if a black person did it, it was more than likely to protect the "hated successful black man" stereotype.

Because and I know this is going to be misconstrued but it is what many (not all) black people do to try to get past the law. They always cry race even though I contend a white person would be getting even bigger flack for this. The law applies to all colors and if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. You are never going to evolve as a people as long as you are into excuse making. It shows a lack of progression. You want me to treat you like my equal, ACT LIKE IT!

It's only turned into a race issue because that is what a minority(about 5-8% of people) believe it is, and those are the people voicing their opinions to the media compared to the rest of us who are keeping quiet.

The only way Vick will get away from this is by his lawyer using that as an excuse.
Its sad but it is what our country has turned to.
You know the saying,
What missing in a room full of lawyers up to their necks in crap...
more crap!
