Bush has given himself the power to rewrite all laws with signing statements.

and

When did he create illegal spying programs and then propose to legalize them?

if you could show me when or where these were passed I'd greatly appreciate it. And, if you could please, only links to credible sites. thank you.

Your opening question is misleading, I don't think bush actually opened our mail....but if he wants he can pay the bills he opens.

He cannot, legally, open your mail without a warrant

Nor can he selectively enforce the laws. He has two options -- sign, or veto. And once signed, the Constitution requires that he "see that the laws be faithfully executed" (Article II).

And he created illegal spying programs because he couldn't be bothered to follow the laws. He could have done everything he wanted to do given the existing laws. He just didn't want to be bothered.

And nothing allows him to do any of this legally. As numerous federal courts have pointed out. Bush has just stacked the deck, and stacked the Justice Department, to ensure that there is now way to stop him from breaking the law.

Can you tell us all where you came up with this BS that Bush is reading your mail. Since no one passed any such laws it is not happening. Just because you Libs hate the man, don't think he can change the constitution with a wave of his hand. It still takes Congress to do that.
