I'm 19 years old, and I recently checked my testicles for any lumps and, surprisingly, I found what feels like a hard ball, smaller than a bb. It's been there as long as I can remember. It seems to moves around some, but it's not actually on my testicle, but always near my right, I'm not sure if it's attached somehow, and it doesn't hurt if I feel/examine it.
I understand it's best I see a doctor, but I know I'll find it difficult to tell my parents about it, I'm just like that, even with something so potentially dangerous.

My husband felt something like that in one of his testicles about 4 years ago. It is a little smaller than a pea, has not grown in size, and stays in the same general area. He had his checked out by a doctor who performed an ultrasound and confirmed that it was not cancerous. Apparently, they are somewhat common. I cannot remember what the name of it is, though. You should have it checked by a doctor, just to play it on the safe side.
P.S.- Good for you for being so aware of your body. Way to be responsible for yourself!

you definitely need to see the doc. if you make your appointment yourself you may not really have to deal with your parents. it could be a hydrocele (a fluid filled cyst) or swelling of the epididymis (near the top of the testicle). you have to get it checked out though. there is still some chance it could be cancerous and you are in the age range for testicular cancer. i'm sorry, but you'll have to see the doc to know exactly what it is. good luck.

It is probably just a little cyst and nothing to worry about. However, young guys are getting problems all the time these days, so wouldn't hurt to have it checked out. As far as telling your folks, no need to be dramatic and get them upset or really embarrass yourself. This is what you say "Hey this is a little embarrasing, but I've got this little bump on my groin and I'm sure it is nothing, but I would like to have Dr. take a look at it." Or if you get embarrassed saying 'groin' even, then you can just say it's on your thigh. Or if you are super religious and can't even say a little white lie, then you say "down below" and they'll get what you mean. If it is your mom and she starts asking a lot of questions, just say, hey it is just a little tiny bump, but it is embarrassing.. could we just not talk about it? She will really appreciate your mature approach.

one time I had at 4-H camp I was peeing outside and a bee stung me. I am guessing you know where it stung. And I am mildy allergic of bees. So the swelling begins. This was a different kind of swelling. So I had to tell my parents and we had to go the hospital. I couldn't pee for 18 hours. It was painful but they swelling cream they gave me really was a big relief. I guess I am saying go to the doctor bow before it becomes something serious. Good Luck Mate

Get it checked on Monday. Drop any and all Pride and get it checked. I had a friend your age pass from testicular cancer. All because he was to Proud to drop trou in front of a chick. Good job that you examine the boys though! they will thank you.

Get it checked. You don't need to tell your parents . You are a big boy now. Good luck -it's probably nothing.

Please, just tell your Mom. After all, she loves you and will be happy to know that you are taking care of yourself, and ignoring it could lead to complications later. My husband had what sounds like the the same thing, it had to be surgically removed.
