Harry Potter World will be a PART of Universal Studios but it's own park (does that make sense??). Universal, Islands Of Adventure and Harry Potter (1 company, 3 parks).
They are supposed to open in 2009 and they will 'Re Create' the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with places like Hogsmead Village (no 1st years allowed), Hogwarts School, so on and so forth.
Just don't expect the boy wizard to make an appearance.

The Harry Potter World is gonna be part of Island of Adventure in Florida.Is not going to be a park they're going to use some rides that already exist and adapt them to Harry Potter ( the Dueling dragons roller coaster and part of the Lost continent )and they are going to expand that area a little bit to accommodate some things from the books ( the station,the school,the dungeons,etc etc )

They did announce that there will be a new Harry Potter theme park in Orlando. They briefly mentioned some ideas of attractions, but nothing specific was revealed.

It's going to be at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, complete with Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, and a few other features from the books, but no plans for rides as of yet. Supposed to open around 2009-2010.

Yes, there is going to be one, I heard about it today on TV during an interview with JK Rowling. It will be a part of Universal Studios, but not much other info was disclosed. That will be so cool when it is finished.

there is no official statement of what rides will be there. it looks like it will be part of Island of Adventure. i guess we will just have to wait until they post new information.
