Is it possible to be gay and Muslim?

I think a Muslim might eventually find out s/he is gay. But due to strict religious beliefs, that person will deny it forever, since its too hard - but not impossible - to brake apart from such strong values.

Of course there are Muslims gays in this world and I am a living example of it and for sure I know I am not the only one there is. This goes to show that homosexuality is just as natural as any thing else, because even in Muslim societies, which are infamous for having strict laws against homosexuality, there are gay people. What is even ironic is that most of the gay Muslims I know are much more compassionate than most other Muslims I know. They truly represent the spirit of Islam.

And for all the people above who just quote the Quran please go and read the whole thing. There are no condemnations of homosexual behavior in the Quran and the story of Luth that you talk about can be and has been interpreted in a lot of ways. No one knows what is "exactly" meant by the story. Even the scholars don't use those verses to forbid homosexuality. Most of their condemnations seem to originate in the Ahadith (sayings of the Prophet PBUH). So to just pass a definite judgment against homosexuals is wrong in my opinion and only Allah knows best.

This is just my take on ur question. I don't care who u r or what u r ur sexuality is not based on religion ethnicity or gender. Regaurdless of all these things if u r gay u r gay and that's all there is to it, yes people r going to object but it's not their seuallity so there fore they hve nothing to say or do with it . Now that's my take , i could be wrong ,but noboby is going to tell me how, what , or whom i am this is ur life tell them to get one themselves, and stay out of urs. not really in the islamic countries the homosexuality is condemned to death.. so I dont think so there are many voices inside of the islam which agree with homosexuality even you can be muslim and gay but not to show them then they will kick off of their community

There are gay Muslims. In many cases, in many countries, they have to be careful because it's a criminal offense that can get you sent to prison, or worse.

as a muslim u should know that.. islam doesnt allow their people to do such things as being a homose)(sual.. it is forbidden in islam for man and women to do that... this have been explain in al-quran... allah have punish the people of prophet LUTH for being a homose)(sual and having sex with their own gender... allah punish them by ordering the earth to crush all the people there.. i hope u get this clearly because i have seen lots of people that is homose)(sual die in such pain and misery... some of them even shout and said soory for god for what they have done.. i dont want u or any other muslim to die like that.. please dont ever think to becoming a gay ... i hope allah will always be with u...
