Hey I am new to EL Caminos and I was looking at a EL Camino Choo Choo ss. I did not want to lose all my money on a car that I worked for (I am 17). I am not the best at knowing if it was a good buy or not. It has little rust spots that looked like a drill hole, but it did not go through the body. It has bubble in the back drive side wheel well. The engine was rebuilt and had 120 before rebuild and now has 60 on 305. the bed need to be sanded down a little and redone. Also has side pipes and the cover it has has a chip in it. I can buy another one on ebay so no problem in that.

For that much money you should be able to find one without rust.

that's not a bad price on a original choo choo version of it,if its in real good shape, there's a guy here in Tennessee where i live at that collects them,so with that one being in that good of shape,id say its worth it,but rust is a main concern on those, check it out real good before you buy it,those have a habit of rusting out in a few bad places like behind the seat,so look this one over real good, the cost of repairing the rust can easily double that of what the car is going to cost you, good luck on it,hope this helps.
