Wow! You and I both. I have two teen daughters ages 18 and 16..both are completely mouthy. I have learned to get them where it hurts. Every time they mouth off, I write down exactly what they said and they next time they ask for something or ask to do something......I pull out my notepad and repeat what they said and then say "uh no" and walk away. Try it. It will absolutely floor her.She will be speechless.lol

It's not to late but it is way easier doing it while they are young but 13's good enough. You will have to be REALLY strickt with her. if she does be mouthy punish her here are some suggestions don't give her any money (pocket money included if she gets it), ground her from the computer, tv or the things she likes the most and from leaving the house dont do all of them at once but. if you want her to be more responsible make her do chores around the house, or get a job (in Austrlia we cant work till we are 14 and 9 months) if thats the case where you are make her ask your neibhours need help for money, she can always babysit too. If you make her do chores around the house and she doesnt do them dont give her ANY money, ground her from somthing she really loves!!!! i hope i helped you and that everything turns at all right!!!! its never too late and really you maybe thinking this person is miss attidude why should i be taking advice from her it only a name!!!!!
p.s dont smack her it will only make it worse and she will probally say sshe hates u but you are only trying to do the best for her ALWAYS rememeber that.

It may be too late. They are at an age now where they think they are grown and arent going to want to listen to you. You can try, but I dont think it will work. Trying to get them to change with them at thier age may only cause more stress. I was like that when I was that age, and I was selfish and didnt want to listen to what any adult had to say because I thought I knew everything. Your kids are teenagers now so you most likely are going to have a long road ahead of you. Especially with girl, they carry so much drama around with them. Try enforcing more rules, chores, ect. And have consequences for when they don't do what they are supposed to do. They may hate you for a while, but it will help them out in the long run.

OMG, I was just sitting in the living room last night and felt those. I told my daughter just go to your room my heart if feeling funny, I thought if she didn't quit arguing with me I might have a heart attack. I don't think there is anything we can do. Hope we make it.♥j

My kids are not up to that age but I remember when I was thirteen..... Take things away from them that they like. The phone , TV, games.Everytime they smart off you snatch something so precious lol. Make them appreciate.

wow, makes you wonder how your mom got through this doesn't...Maybe start taking away the stuff they enjoy doing. Such as music, tv,computers, hanging out with friends...When they get mad or ask why...In order for you to receive these items I must see respect and responsibilites...If you want your things back you must do as I say or you won't get them back...Good Luck hun!
