The screen is now misalligned with the main part of the laptop . everything else is fine. Does anyone know how I can re align the screen with the body so when i close it, it closes properly without paying 700 dollars as quoted by the apple tech support? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apple love their customers, $700 dollars what a rip off.. to manufacture the computer only cost $300 in the first place.. made in china

wow could buy a new dell laptop computer for that..

take it to a local computer shop that repairs laptops and don't mention the apple quote, it will cost you around $120 and the next time you buy a computer don't let it be a Mac..

do a web search for
laptop+repairs+your area

how long ahve you had it? if you still have a warranty they should be able to ship you a new one at no price. or, you could hook it up to a monitor, get all the files and stuff you wanna keep onto a cd, and then go to tiger.com and buy the acer ferrari with windows XP Pro. i have one and it works faster than my macbook did, better, and has customer support (in english insted of apple having chinese people and you cant understand them!!!!) just dont get another one or even bother fixing it. get a better laptop.
