Swimmer's Ear:
It is important to know what is causing an ear ache, as different causes should be treated differently.
Swimmer's Ear is a fungal infection, and almost any type of fungus is quickly and effectively treated with vinegar.
The Remedy:
Mix white vinegar 50/50 with clean water. Drop into ear, and wiggle ear to ensure it goes all the way in.
For bad ear aches/infections squeeze lemon juice in your ear, keep it in for a few seconds, then let it drain out. I put a towel over my ear so it doesn't drain into my hair...that gets pretty sticky! The lemon has to do with changing the Ph levels in your ear. The bacteria is a base, and if you add the lemon, an acid, it neutralizes the Ph levels in your ear so that the bacteria cannot live in there!
You can buy garlic capsules from the pharmarcy and squeeze it through a dropper and then put drops in infected ear. Or you can take olive oil and heat 1-2 cloves of garlic on slow heat for a few minutes (its better if you slice it) before frying it in the olive oil. Then just let the oil cool down and put a few drops in the infected ear.
Peroxide is the remedy for ear wax, which CAN cause pain, but is not the same as an infection or swimmers ear.

An ear infection can occur in any of the three parts. Inner ear infections are the most serious. It is important to treat an ear infection to prevent complications, including damaging or rupturing the ear drum. Untreated ear infections can also lead to chronic recurrence and can even cause deafness! It is important to consult a doctor, but for immediate relief you can try some natural treatments. There are many time-honored, simple and easy home remedies that can help to get rid of the pain and other symptoms of an ear infection.

For pain, use Aleve. To clear the infection, use peroxide. Use an eye dropper to put the peroxide in your ear (2-3 drops) and hold your head to the side so it does not run out. You will hear the bubbles attacking the infection. After a minute or so, flip your head over and let drain well, like for 30 seconds. Make sure you are using Hydrogen Peroxide from the pharmacy. Put a cotten ball to keep the ear from getting air in it, and in a few days, the infection will begin to clear. If you have antibiotics left over from another time, use them as instructed also. A heating pad along with the Aleve will help sooth the pain.

There are some pretty good ones. More and more doctors now a days aren't given antibiotics for ear infections because they'll clear up on their own. Try one of these:
1.) A drop or two of alcohol in the infected ear, lie on the other side and let the alcohol set in your ear for a bit, then flip over to drain it.
2.) Take an old large sock (no holes), fill it 3/4 of the way with white rice, micowave for 10-15 seconds and place it on your ear, it'll help relieve the pain/pressure of the ear infection.
3.) Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice in your ear, let it soak, then flip over and let it drain out
4.) Use garlic oil as ear drops - once again let it soak into your ear for a bit, then flip over and let it drain.
Hope some of these help you. :-)

Add a couple of drops of either Chamomile or Lavender to a bowl of warm water. Then using a small towel or cloth soaked in the warm water as a compress, place over the ear to draw out the infection.

When I was younger, my grandma dropped a few drops (like 2 or 3) of olive oil in the infected ear. It seemed to help a lot!
