Yes, it's very possible. My husband and I have a beautiful love that is based on many years of friendship prior to us going out and falling in love. We both truely believe we are soulmates and are each others best friends.
But as other people said, it's something you have to work at. It doesn't come easy....while it may sneak up on you one day and you'll realize "wow, there he or she is!"....once in the relationship, you two have to work together to keep your love from growing stale (but it's worth it).

yes but not everyone will experience it though. also when we see movies or like ;u said read a book about romance we start to feel romantic and excited ourselves. Just as you are comparing them to real life. Yes I have certainly felt that feeling and no I still have not found the right person I am looking for. We could also ask ourselves is it just luck that two people find each other and have the most love and passion for one another. I have been with a man for 2 yrs now and he was very passionate about me...but as time went on I seen his dark side...now i have someone I have only met on the phone and I feel like we are meant to be...but we still have to meet...I am only anticipating this...but if and when we ever do meet maybe this will be everything we both have been looking for...I just melt when I hear his voice..and yes I hate to admit it he was on myspace....but I had only went public for like a day and he was the only one on my page!

Yes, it is possible. Not so much in our modern times as it was maybe 50 years ago when things were a lot simpler, and people had higher moral standards and ethics. I've read all of Nicholas Sparks' books, and find them very enjoyable escapist reading.

I believe there is a such love. Me and my husband have it...we have the same kind of problems as the 2 in the story, but we also have the love as Noah and allie....It does take work, but it is worth it

Hi cindytorrey,
Yes, this kind of love is possible..my grandparents had this.. he died 7 years at the ago of 85..she just turned 90 in July ...she is very healthy and mad because she is still among the living and not with him...if she could have laid down and died when he did..she would have..and has tried on numerous occasions since...but unlike the movie..it didn't/hasn't worked..... they were married for 59 years....

It is possible to feel that but the body dies so that kind of love is not everlasting. But the true love that you are looking for is the purpose of your life and it is everlasting. See site below and see what top psychologists say about it.

The type of love you saw in the Notebook, comes from years and years of working out problems togather, open, honest talk about anything and everything. Yes if you and your mate can and will do this, that kind of love is available.Takes a lot of understanding and care for it to "develope'.....George

Live to love, love to live.
Love is a condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.
Love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking together in the same direction.
