through the middle of the U.S.?

The government continues to deny there's anything planned but there's evidence to the contrary.

Cheney claims there are no plans to build a superhighway through the central U.S. The Dept. of Trans. claims that ,"The Department of Transportation will continue to cooperate with the State transportation departments in the I-35 corridor as they upgrade this vital interstate highway to meet 21st century needs. However, these efforts are the routine activities of a Department that cooperates with all the state transportation departments to improve the Nation's intermodal transportation network."

Now, I introduce, NASCO:

The NASCO site addresses a "tri-national" economy and says,"There are no plans to build a new NAFTA Superhighway - it exists today as I-35."

Read the info. and post your thoughts.

With the existence of NAFTA it is possible.

The Pan-American Highway, linking Canada and Mexico via the U.S. was built in the 1930s. Interstate 15 links Canada and Mexico via the U.S. I-35 serves the same purpose in the midwest. I'm not worried. Europe built one from Finland to Spain. I'd rather see goods moving across borders than armies.

Not only is there I-35, there are sections of the new I-69 that have already been a great convenience to me, and I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Are you kidding me? Even if this was possible (which i admit it is) the goverment(s) will find some bogus excuse not to. Probably "too much money" or "it'll cause illegal immigration." So until we overthrow the big bro with our pump action shotguns (which i'm all for if your willing), this just won't happen. Nice idea though.
