if love is a rose then its thorns are different forms, steps, stages of love also...it will be unfair to name them as hurdles,obstacles...however negative they may be, each time we touch them, we do not bleed to get hurt, we desire to reach the Rose.

These thorns are those experiences which increases our love each time we touch them, so that eventually we understand what's the best way to hold the rose along with its thorn, what is the best way to love, along with its shortcomings....

:)

Love is a rose, and the thorns are a test of that Love. Every Love has it's problems, which the thorns represent. True Love is a beautiful thing, and definitely worth hanging on too, no matter
how many Thorns are present. A rose is worth smelling in spite of it's thorns, just like Love is worth giving and sharing with someone, even though you risk getting your heart broken. It's better to Love and lose, then to never have Loved at all..........

When love is said to be a rose, it means that love is the entire rose, not just the pretty part, but the painful parts as well.

Everything could be considered a rose: beautiful yet also possessing thorns. Love is a good example; the feelings and strength it gives are wonderful and beautiful, yet it's never perfect. Nothing is. That is the "thorns" of the universe.

I've spent time thinking about just that since my book-in-progress deals a lot with roses and their symbolism of the world.

The thorns are the hard truth about love, that it is not just all roses and great smells, and beauty along the long path up to the rose, it is the barbs, the pricks, the hurt and the pain that make us realize how very precious love is and albeit hard to find, it is worth the gain.

People will pull away far to quickly from the pricks and cuts of the thorns. Too bad, for the prize of the rose is the gift of eternity.

The pain we go through for this love. Love isn't perfect, but in some ways it hurts. Whether its our family that wont accept it, or the person wont love you back.
I have yet to learn about this love, but it seems too hard and scary and I am scared that this thorn is probably what is keeping me from loving anyone.
In a sense we do bleed just to touch it, but through pain comes the greatest and strongest beauty. A rose is beautiful but has to be handled with care because it will cut us and hurt really bad.

Love is a rose and expectations , when not met, from love are the thorns which cause hurt and we bleed beyond repair. despite thorns rose is beautiful and charming and is the best thing to experience in life. Love is energy, love is life force and we cannot do without it so thorns on the path can be overlooked.

When love dies
The flower is gone
The break up or fall out is where you get all the thorns

People sacrifice for love
Thats the thorns as well

Ever Relationship has times when the people in it fight or don't get along
settling those difference can cause some pain
aka thorns

yea thats all I can think of

Love isn't always a rose. Sometimes it's the manure you put around the bush.

As a second thought, remember the lyrics to the song:

Love is a rose, but you better not pick it,
only grows when it's on the vine.
Handful of thorns and you know you've missed it.
Lose your love when you say the word, mine.

The Rose is a delicate Flower that smells divine, but its thorns are another matter, as our steps through Life, which we do not know where in life it is going to take us. Sometimes we do bleed when we lose someone or something which you held dear to you, but if we let that stumbling block get in the way of our Life, what is the meaning of why we are here. Life as we see it is not a Bed of roses, sometimes we have to suffer the consequences of our actions.

The thorns of a rose,
is our scars,
as the process of life grows,
we reach the bud,
as our minds glow,
we know,
we cannot bleed,
just for the touch,
we are the rose,
the beauty is our love,
so genuine and unique,
yet we came from the same seed.
