All bettas have the same lifespan, regardless of strain/tail type. Bettas kept at home usually last about 1-2 years, maybe more if they are really well taken care of. Under perfectly monitored laboratory conditions they have been known to live up to 8 years. However, if a betta is kept in a tiny bowl with no heating or filtration, don't expect it to live too long.

Most well-cared for bettas will live 2-3 years. A fortunate few live longer, into the 4-5 year range.

They can live as long as 7 years, but many live 3-4 years, or less if they live in a non filtered small tank due to people who think they are just decorations.

It depends on how well you take care of it. Mine usually live for 2-3 years, some live longer like 10 years if you care for it like any fish. I have one now and I got him pretty young, so he is about 3 or so now.
