Yesterday when i was clearing my drawer, i took out a book and there was some dark brown stuff on it and i saw a white worm squirming out. The dark brown stuff was difficult to remove and stained on the book. Does anyone know what this white worms are? Are they poisonous and the white worm has escaped and how long it takes to die? Whats the brown stuff also?

There are a few types of larva that feed on the celluose and starch that make up books and paper. These things show up in stored newspaper as well and can be a problem in libraries. They're not poisonous and the brown colour was likely just their excretion. Remove their food source and they will disappear.
