If you are a lawyer is it hard to get a job as a public defender (assuming you have a "clean" record)? What is the average salary/pay for a public defender? Any information pertaining to public defenders would be great.

It depends on the county in which you are working. Cities pay higher than rural areas. Additionally, in some counties, public defender is a part-time position.

If you don't have a clean record, the State will always hire you for the Department of Children and Family Services.
Because they need you so bad , but you have to be a crook, and a lier, But after all there is only one Joke about attorneys because all the rest are true. Greed and ambition will destory you.
