I have raised about five or six different types of tadpoles, from the completely aqautic African clawed Frog to the mainly terrestrial wood Frog, the most important thing involved with raising tadpoles is the water, it must be chlorine free and if you usse tap water make sure to purchase de clorinating drops for aquariums, because chlorine is lethal to tadpoles. Second most important thing is the food, there are commercial types that can be purchased and have the proper nutrition necessary, also lettuce that is chopped up and freezed is also liked by tadpoles, I have done this only one time but it was successful and seemed a little more natural but tha very small pices necessary for eating are sometimes missed and become very dirty,

Well here is a few sites that have been useful for me with more in-deptth care, good luck,

If you've ever set up a fish aquarium, you won't need much coaching, but You should have a filtered aquarium at the ready. Depending on how many tadpoles, it should at least be a 5 gallon tank, with no substrate like rocks or gravel, some tap water conditioner, which is usually sold for fish and a sponge filter. To obtain these, go to a store that either specializes in fish and aquatic amphibians, or a store with a large aquatics area and inquire about the requirements for filtration and how often you should replace the filter, etc. You might also need a heater to keep the temperature steady at 75 degrees or so. If you Google 'tadpole care' you might find some more useful information.

But, whatever you do, don't get anything other than a sponge filter for your tank! Typical filters can suck up a poor tadpole and kill it.

Of course you need to take care of them! You really should have at least a ten gallon aquarium, half filled with water, and a filter, and some rocks that stick up above the water,so as they morph into frogs, they will have a place to haul out onto. You should put some water plants, like anacharis or elodea, which you can purchase at any aquarium or pet store,in the water for the tadpoles to hide in and nibble on.You can feed them commercial fish food flakes and bloodworms, but when they turn into frogs,or toads, you will have to obtain very tiny, live insects for them, unless you're going to let them go.What type of tadpoles are they?

if the rocks are big take them out because it will be hard for them to eat the food all u need is a bucket with water and provide them some food...u need to feed them a lot cause they grow faster if u do so...

thats all u have to do i breed tadpole before now i have lots of bull frogs
