Most craft stores will have a section for children/young teens and many different types of crafts. Typically, you can buy kits that contain everything you need. Michael's carries a good selection for making your own jewelry, hair barretts, applying beads/gems to items such as purses, shoes, etc.

Go explore the store and have a good time!

Clay is a great material for making crafts. If you need an idea for craft made out of clay go to http://www.activities-for-kids.net/Pet_craft_ideas.html .

You can also make craft from a solid soap. It's a wonderful craft activity and the girls will love it. For instructions go to http://www.activities-for-kids.net/kindergarten_crafts.html .

Good Luck and Have Fun!

If you go to either Walmart or Michaels, they'll have lots of kits for different crafts. If you take your daughter with you (presumably that's why you're holding the slumber party) she can pick something that she thinks is cool, and just buy a few of them, or a few different but similar ones (e.g. 3 knitting kits but each one makes something different).

anything they can make and keep. get several craft kits. each girl will like different things... everyone is happy... keep the snacks coming, dont put a time limit on activites. this is fun and bonding time for them.... my girls love to paint, and draw. get art supplies and craft, drawing paper. beading. or jewlerymaking. make ornaments. does not have to be holiday ornemants either... have then work on something large, that will require them to work together... and then do a drwing to see who gets to keep it... also, because of age group, one project could be the making of thier own snacks and dinner..... a millian kid recipes out there. gather ingredients, line em up, and let em go. be there to supervise of course. but even at 13 and some cooking experience, my girls like to make fun foods....

Polymer Clay (Sculpey or Premo) is pretty awesome and easy. You can do many beads for jewelry or key chains. You can buy them beads and they can make jewelry, friendship bracelets, stuff to hang on their backpacks. They can each bring photos and make a friends scrapbook. Like a burn book in mean girls but good of course. Well there are a lot of ideas. You can give them very easy recipes.
