My husband is a firefighter. This is a true story from the summer of 2005. Bubba (his real name, we live in Texas) decided to clean his yard. There was an old chest of drawers sitting beside his detached garage. He wanted to add it to his burn pile, so he started taking out drawers. The bees got very angry at the destruction of their home, and the first 911 call came in for Bubba's bee stings. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where they later counted 114 stings. Bob, his cousin, decided to take care of the bee problem while Bubba was in the hospital. He doused the chest of drawers with gas and lit it up. The second 911 call came. The good news is that Bubba survived the bee stings. The bad news is that his garage did not survive the gasoline on the chest of drawers, it burned very nicely right along with the bees. The moral of the story is: Don't piss off the bees, and don't try to solve your bee problem with gasoline.

Not sure about this as some bees are protected. I had to call in pest control a few yrs ago and the guy took one look and went home. My garden was swarming and the bees were a certain type that burrow, ugh! My garden was unusable the whole summer. Once they died I poured bleach and boiling water over the area and chopped back most of the hedge. Make an anonymous call to environmental health to find out their policy and then decide what to do.

Then have the rest of them go comacazzi on you?
If they are really killer bees you should notify your local emergency services, normally the fire department, so thay can contribute their location to the national database. It should be free. If there was a killer wild cat in your back yard, would they leave it there because you dont/cant pay?
This is life endangerment to you and to others around you.
Please, at least call the fire dept. and ask them.
If they are honey bees, a bee keeper may just take them away for free.

How do you know they are killer bees? Anyhow, all you have to do is locate your local bee keeper and they will probably remove them for you free of charge. Especially in light of the fact that so many bee are just disappearing. Even if they are killer bees that would mean they are honey bees and there is nothing a bee keeper loves more than a fresh hive.

Don't you have like a local council in the USA?
They should take anything that poses a threat to anyone away for free surely?
Contact the authorities and demand it be moved! Especially if there are children around.
