More and more, I'm encountering some men (both hetero and homo) that have expressed a desire to be castrated. It's interesting as far as far as a fantasy would go. But, is there a real reason to go through with it?

Some criminals convicted of serious sexual crimes in America can volunteer to be castrated in order to help increase their chances of being released back into the community during rehabilitation. Thay may also feel remorseful for what they have done and elect it to curb hormones and reduce the potential for reoffending.
Others may do it because they hate thenmselves... like really really hate themselves

At age 40 it is not such a bad idea.It will slow balding some or reverse it.If he has to shave a lot that will slow to once a week.It totally shrinks the prostate down to the size of a marble. No bph for castrated men.
It totally stops the production of dht a very bad abnormal hormone produced in older mens testicles.
It also will bring his sex drive into sinc with most women. The castrated men I know will only want sex when properly motivated by thier women. The best part they last a very long time when motivated.I have seen some go for 2 hours or more before they finish.

A man I know had it done. He was about 85 and had prostate cancer, and the doctors told him it would slow down the growth of the cancer if his testosterone levels were drastically reduced which the castration did. His wife was dead, so he didn't care about sex. His voice didn't change or anything, and he died of something else at 91.

If the individual had an excessively strong sex drive, and he wanted to kill it, castration would do the job. A predator who realized he was and who could not control his urges, might just choose castration as a way to do so.

the only medical reason is prostatic hyperplasia or prostatic cancer but not medically not recommended since their removal will lead to loss of testosterone production and loss of lipido and muscle will be loss even the voice become more feminine and hair in chin and sexual organ decrease although there is a testosterone pills yet the hazard on liver still and on prostate too

Some men consider it as an alternative to cancer treatments that may be long and painful. Some are weird, and some are just into creating new fads.

i agree with warren1515 and his comment - it is correct in my mind, however the army uses BROMIDE and puts in the tea, while the male troops are away from home - or at least they did years back
