Is Graphology a dying craft?

They did not teach my daughter any more cursive than it took to write her signature in elementry school. They are intensely teaching keyboarding in middle school.

I don't know about that but handwriting sure is obsolete as a clue in murder mysteries.

Um. Maybe.
Do you expect the world's greatest detective to believe you don't recognize your own wife's handwriting?
She always sends me Emails or text messages.
Then how do explain this ten page letter on your wife's personalized scented stationary from Snookums to Pookey,
swearing revenge for the slightest hint of infidelity.
Oh that's probably from Mrs. Snookdale, our housekeeper, to Tony Pookarelli, our poolboy. They're the only ones in our neighborhood who still write cursive.

as far as i know, you dont need to write cursive in order to do a graphological analysis.
it can be done with any type of writing.
i personally cannot read or write cursive. it all floats on the page for me and takes me forever. probably some sort of lysdexia :)

and yet i've had my hand writing analyzed and there was no problem with it.
graphology might disappear because before you know it people won't write at all.
i type almost everything i write, except checks, grocery lists and love notes.

No, the knowledge is used by most job interviewers and as a diagnostic tool, for example.
P.S. there will always be a reason for writing by hand and a beautiful penmanship speaks volumes about person's education and background; similarly, computerization is not an excuse for a lack of basic addition,subtraction, multiplication, or division skills, for example. Sloppy education shows in many ways and it is not a good source of pride.
